Rob is originally from New York and relocated to Charlotte in 1997. A graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Rob spent the first 15 years of his professional career as a banker and financial advisor before transitioning into real estate in 2010. He is now the Owner and Team Leader of The Wachter Group and is committed to delivering true consulting services in real estate. Licensed in both North and South Carolina, his team serves the Greater Charlotte area. As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist®, Rob is very experienced in working with clients that are downsizing and making moves into retirement communities. Every month Rob hosts a Facebook Live Show titled "Senior Living Options in Charlotte."
Rob is active in community service in Charlotte and has volunteered with The Shepherd's Center of Charlotte and the Alzheimer's Association. He has spent years training and developing new real estate agents, and has previously served as a Broker in Charge. Rob is serving as the 2023 Chair of the Canopy REALTOR® Association's Grievance Committee and is committed to enforcing professional standards in the real estate industry. In his free time, Rob enjoys spending time with his 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren.
